我很喜歡American Hustle開頭用some of this actually happened取代based on the true story，這讓我想到kubrick說的 “In movies you don't try and photograph the reality. you try and photograph the photograph of the reality.” 電影從來呈現的就是包裝後。其實歷史也是。

去年VMA, steve mcqueen 把他的一幀作品提供給kanye west, 成就了一場相當牽動情感的演出。那張照片叫“lynching tree”, 那首歌叫“bloods on the leaves”, 之中呢喃的女聲是Nina Simone的 strange fruits。於是我們看到了那個黑色的身體350年後仍然懸浮擺蕩在枝椏間，喊著"We could've been somebody!!" （也彷彿還聽得到一個白女孩得猴的餘音 we can't stop)
